Important Information for Your ID06 Card Application
If you’re starting a job at a site that requires an ID06 card, we’ve put together all the essential information you need. Make sure to read through carefully and use this guide to help you when applying for your ID06 card.
Why the ID06 card?
An ID06 card is a secure identification card used in Sweden to promote safety and transparency on construction sites and other workplaces. It helps verify the identity of workers, ensuring that only authorized personnel are present. The card is part of a system designed to prevent illegal employment and enhance workplace security.
1. Passport number
To apply for your ID06 card, you will need to provide your passport number. It is crucial that the information you provide matches exactly with the details on your verification document (passport). While ID cards from certain countries are accepted, we strongly recommend using your passport.

2. Tax & Social Security
We also require a copy of your submitted tax application for either a Personal Number or Coordination Number. This is essential for processing your ID06 card.
3. Photo
To apply for your ID06 card, you will need to provide your passport number. It is crucial that the information you provide matches exactly with the details on your verification document (passport). While ID cards from certain countries are accepted, we strongly recommend using your passport.

4: Delivery Address
You can choose from the following delivery options, listed from fastest to slowest:
- Your address in Sweden (recommended)
- Sistec Office in Sweden
- Cool Company Skandinavien AB (Tegnérgatan 2C, 113 58 Stockholm, Sweden)
Note: International shipping is NOT possible.
5: Swedish Personal or Coordination Number
Without a Swedish Personal or Coordination Number, your ID06 card will be limited to 3 months. To obtain a 3-month ID06 card, you must provide a receipt of a submitted special income tax (SINK) or A-tax application. This 3-month card can only be requested twice per person. After that, a Swedish Personal or Coordination Number is mandatory.
6. Renewal
For a smooth transition, we kindly recommend that you apply for your ID06 card renewal 1-2 weeks prior to its expiration date. This ensures that your new card arrives on time without any disruptions to your work.

Note: If you’re a citizen of an EU country, you do not need to apply for a work permit.
