Safe and insured

When you work as a consultant and carry out assignments through Cool Company, it is important that you know which insurances you are covered by. Here we have gathered information about the four types of insurance.

Liability insurance

Liability insurance is insurance that covers the insured’s liability for damages according to general tort law rules. Liability insurance applies to property and personal injury. Economic damage is neither material nor personal damage, but a financial loss that has been incurred.

Personal insurance – group life

The other part of the personal insurance is group life (TGL – Tjänstegrupplivförsäkring in Swedish), which is life insurance with survivors’ protection.

The compensation is paid as a tax-free lump sum in the event of death, at six price base amounts, and child allowance with two price base amounts per child. The insurance is valid around the clock during your employment period with Cool Company. In order to be covered by the TGL insurance, the employee needs to have regular working hours of at least 8 hours per week calculated on average per month within the span of seven days counting back from the death.

Health insurance

You are covered by basic health insurance, which functions as a supplement to the compensation from the Swedish Försäkringskassan in case of long-term illness. The insurance also includes the possibility of rehabilitation and consultation support completely free of charge.  

Should you fall ill and be on sick leave at a minimum level of 25 percent, health insurance can provide you with financial compensation. After a waiting period of 90 days, your sickness benefit is paid out every month in relation to the percentage of sick leave you have taken. Sickness benefit is paid until you get well again, up to your agreed retirement age at most. 

Personal insurance – accident

The TFO accident insurance applies if you are injured at work or if you are injured on the way to or from work. It provides compensation of up to 30 price base amounts for disability (both medical and economic disability).

The accident insurance also covers costs that arise in connection with the injury, for example clothing, travel to the hospital and costs for doctor’s visits. Costs for rehabilitation and assistance equipment are also included, plus for pain and suffering in case of permanent disability. Cool Company’s accident insurance applies around the clock! 


Be safe – with our collective agreement

As a consultant or contractor at Cool Company, you are covered by Säljarnas collective agreement. This means that we can offer an even greater security for you and that 4.5 percent of your gross salary is automatically allocated to your occupational pension. It can be good to keep in mind when you set your price towards your customer.
