As an independent contractor you are an employee of Cool Company, but you carry out your assignments as if you ran your own company. You find your own clients, determine your own prices, your own payment terms and how quickly you want your money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As an independent contractor with Cool Company, you do not need to be registered for corporation tax as we are responsible as your employer. Similarities with employment:&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are a general fixed-term employee and are paid as a contractor.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We deal with all contact with the Swedish Tax Agency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>We take care of your statutory payments such as tax, contributions and VAT.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You are also insured, provided you pre-register your assignments before carrying them out.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Differences with employment: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You are freer as an independent contractor as you don\u2019t have a boss. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You determine your own salary and working hours, and which assignments you accept and decline.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coolcompany-accordion block-accordion-container\"><button class=\"block-accordion\" type=\"button\" onclick=\"handleAccordionClick(this)\"><svg xmlns=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"img\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" preserveAspectRatio=\"xMidYMid meet\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" class=\"accordion__icon\"><path d=\"M16.293 9.293L12 13.586L7.707 9.293l-1.414 1.414L12 16.414l5.707-5.707z\" fill=\"#075a63\"><\/path><\/svg><h4 class=\"accordion__title\">When do I get paid as an independent contractor?<\/h4><\/button><div class=\"accordion__content\"><div class=\"accordion__text\">\n<p>You get paid within 24 hours of us receiving payment from your client. You can select payment terms of 10, 20 or 30 days for your invoices (i.e. the number of days your client has to pay). We notify you by email when we receive your client\u2019s payment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Need to be paid even quicker? You can apply for Cool Company\u2019s ExpressPay\u00ae service. The salary you receive into your bank account is your net pay, i.e. after deductions for employer\u2019s contributions, taxes and Cool Company\u2019s fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are a retiree, the employer\u2019s contribution is lower and you will have more money left after tax.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coolcompany-accordion block-accordion-container\"><button class=\"block-accordion\" type=\"button\" onclick=\"handleAccordionClick(this)\"><svg xmlns=\"https:\/\/www.w3.org\/2000\/svg\" aria-hidden=\"true\" role=\"img\" width=\"24\" height=\"24\" preserveAspectRatio=\"xMidYMid meet\" viewBox=\"0 0 24 24\" class=\"accordion__icon\"><path d=\"M16.293 9.293L12 13.586L7.707 9.293l-1.414 1.414L12 16.414l5.707-5.707z\" fill=\"#075a63\"><\/path><\/svg><h4 class=\"accordion__title\">Can I invoice anything through Cool Company?<\/h4><\/button><div class=\"accordion__content\"><div class=\"accordion__text\">\n<p>You can invoice the vast majority of services through Cool Company, including ROT and RUT jobs (non-commercial jobs). We are, however, unable to approve all types of work, partly for insurance reasons.
