Instead, you use a coordination number. You can apply for a coordination number yourself, or your employer can do it for you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You will need a coordination number to be able to pay tax, deal with public authorities and so on. You may also be issued one pending a residence permit and personal identity number.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Swedish Tax Agency is the public authority that makes decisions about and issues coordination numbers.<br>After submitting your online application, you must visit the Tax Office to identify yourself in person. This step only needs to be done once, ideally during the first week of your assignment in Sweden.<br><br>Please book an appointment at your closest tax office by clicking [<a href=\"https:\/\/ssc.nemoq.se\/booking\/booking\/index\/ssc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/ssc.nemoq.se\/booking\/booking\/index\/ssc<\/a>].<br>Remember to bring your passport, a copy (digital or physical) of your employment contract, and a receipt of your submitted online tax application.<br><br><strong>Important:<\/strong>\u00a0A coordination number WILL NOT be issued without completing this step.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Self-employed with no personal identity number<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>At Cool Company you can be self-employed even without a personal identity number. You will need a coordination number instead, and must be able to present a Swedish work permit. You will need to provide certain documents in order to have your ID verified, which are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Documentation certifying registration for income tax <em>(A-skatt)<\/em>&nbsp;in Sweden for 2022. This is available from the Swedish Tax Agency.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A copy of your passport.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If your passport is not from an EU country, you will have to submit a copy of your work and residence permit.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n<section class=\"wp-block-coolcompany-section has-violet-10-background-color has-background\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-style-columns2 is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-style-larger-col is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Coming to Sweden from Ukraine?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you had to flee Ukraine for Sweden after 24 February 2022, you are covered by the Temporary Protection Directive. This means that if you are a Ukrainian citizen, a long-term legal resident of Ukraine or have protected status in Ukraine, you are entitled to a work and residence permit in the EU for at least one year, with the possibility to extend for up to two years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To be covered by the Temporary Protection Directive and be granted a work and residence permit in Sweden, you will need to identify yourself to the Swedish Migration Agency, either online or at one of their offices.
